Our chapter is a member of the California Federation of Women's Clubs, Sierra-Cahuenga District #15 and also participates in philanthropic projects that support the goals of the Federation.
We were Federated in 1921, and part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs which has branches in Europe, South America, Asia, and every state in the U.S.A. Our clubs outreach through Federation is responsible for 75% of the nation's libraries and we have been instrumental in the passage of conservation issues, as well as child labor laws.
Early Women’s Clubs all over the United States raised the matching money to build local Carnegie libraries. Our Chatsworth Women's Club actively supported the creation of the Santa Susana State Historic Park and continues to support the volunteers who provide hikes and programs to educate the community.
